It was a dark and stormy night

This little excerpt was written by AJ. He and Kevin made a long journey back to civilization o that Kev could take his 8 pound walleye to a taxidermist. Storms were moving in and the winds were strong. I will let AJ finish this classic...

Pictured here is Kevin and Bry w/ the future Wall Mount.

Below is the 14 footer.

"Some stories... one of my favorite stories is when Kev and I took his fish back in Minnesota. With nothing but a 14' rowboat and a 15 HP motor, we intrepidly faced the towering 8' waves that grew in fury as the wind blew from one end of the deep channel to the other.
We pushed through without hesitation or fear. Well, I did anyway cause Kev kept his head under his hood, between his legs, minus the occasional bailing of water that was pouring over the starboard walls.
I'll never, ever forget it. There were several angels! looking over our shoulder that day, of that you can be sure. And to those of you think I may be exaggerating, even slightly, I don't blame you given our rich history of embellishment, but to you I say this: As we rode each crest to the next trough, we would momentarily lose sight of the shore, trees, any and all plant and animal life. In fact, the only thing you could see was a blue wall of water, and as we peaked each crest, the craft seemed to balance delicately and then slide uncontrollably down to the next trough where once again we'd lose all sight of land, this lasted for nearly a half an hour.
Then, we had to go back, this time, with the wind at our face.” Posted by Picasa
